Twenty Four / Seven

Part One | Two | Three

I had to work on the 4th, so we celebrated on the 3rd.

On the 8th, while Keith was with friends, I ventured to Liberty Park in SLC to walk around killing time with Brodie.

It was so hot, Brodie walked right on into the water, but left the ducks alone.

Later, Keith and I met TJ out at Black Rock at the Great Salt Lake since he had never been. I captured some stunning photos of Black Rock that I really would love to enter into the Utah State Fair. I always say I want to place one of my pieces in, but never do. So we will see again this year if I do.

On the 11th, all of us piled in my mom’s vehicle and we drove down to have fun at the Ute Stampede’s carnival at the fair grounds on the opening night. A lot of the classic rides have been replaced with newer and safer equipment, but they still have one of the kiddie rides because I recognize it from a photo when I was 4, 40 years ago. Plus, I haven’t been since 2012.

Since my folks were in town now, we all met up at a local burger joint with my grandma for my birthday dinner. This place was one of the top 10 burgers joints in Utah, and so we tried it— They make very good burgers, and the fries tasted like fries even after taking them home and reheating them… I thought only sweet potato fries could do that.

The next day, we were invited by the kids summer school to visit the aquarium in Draper, and so we enjoyed a few hours wandering around with my mom and s-dad. Keith invited his friend and they had a blast.

The Aquarium Temple… 🤣
